Gun Cleaning And Lubrication Systems

Responsible gun ownership includes proper storage of firearms and ammunition. However, many gun owners may not realize that it is important to clean their weapons on a regular basis. For instance, pistols and rifles that have been fired multiple times need to be thoroughly cleaned in order to remove some hazardous wastes. Inside the barrels and other parts of a gun, traces of toxic chemicals may remain. These chemicals can slowly disintegrate and release hazardous gases that can cause respiratory problems for anyone that inhales them.

Citizens, law enforcement personnel and other gun owners can purchase professional quality gun cleaning systems. An ultrasonic chamber is typically used to loosen up all of the debris that may remain inside the barrels of firearms. Additionally, heat is also applied to gradually melt any remains of bullet cases or shells. The ultrasonic waves are optimized to penetrate deep into any openings of guns, rifles and shotguns. Additionally, some gun cleaning systems use liquid solvents to thoroughly wash weapons. For instance, it's a good idea to remove fingerprints from the triggers and handles every once in a while.

Lubrication is another major issue in gun maintenance. Small drops of special lubricants can be applied directly into some of the moving components of guns. The liquid solutions are designed to dissolve and break down in a matter of hours. Lubrication helps improve the firing mechanism in any type of firearm. GunCleaners.com  and other websites are examples of stores that sell gun cleaning and maintenance systems.

Choosing the Right Sunscreen

With summer approaching most people will spend more and more time in the sun. Along with the increasing sunlight comes the danger of sun damage through sun burn or more seriously skin cancer. Statistics show that more than one million new cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed in the United States every year.

Sunscreens protect the skin from the ultraviolet rays of the sun by either scattering the light away from the body or absorbing the rays before they reach the skin. Ultra violet B (UVB) rays are the ones that cause skin cancer. Ultraviolet A (UVA) rays don’t cause sunburn, they penetrate deep into the skin and cause wrinkles. They also increase the skin cancer risk. Some sunscreens only protect against one type of ultraviolet ray. To get protection from both types of rays, choose a broad spectrum sunscreen which protects against both UVA and UVB rays.

Sunscreens are rated by a sun protection factor (SPF) which only applies to UVB rays. The SPF is followed by a number, for example fifteen. This means that it will take fifteen times as long to get sunburn when you use the product. A common myth is that the higher the SPF rating on a sunscreen the more sun protection you receive. In fact, the incremental benefit from a higher SPF is not as significant as one would believe. For example an SPF-15 sunscreen is 93% effective but an SPF-30 is not twice as effective it is only 97% effective, only a slight improvement.

For those concerned about added chemicals in skin care products, consumer should seek out a natural sunscreen. Look for certification from the National Products Association. They certify products that contain natural ingredients and limit harmful additives. Natural sunscreens are PBA-free and usually contain the two active ingredients titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which are safe mineral sunscreens. They may also include Vitamin E and natural seed oils like safflower oil and sunflower oil.

Sunscreen should be applied liberally to exposed areas of the skin. If you will be swimming or sweating a lot, look for waterproof brands. Application should be repeated the longer you stay exposed to the sun. Don’t overlook simpler remedies like hats, sunglasses and protective clothing to avoid the dangers of sun exposure.

Herbal Essence Body Wash Review

Disclaimer: I received a free sample of Herbal Essence Body Wash for the purpose of reviewing the product and telling others of my opinions.  The opinions expressed in this post are solely my opinion and are not swayed by the fact that I received a sample.

I have to start off by asking, What do you expect from a shower?  Sounds kind of crazy I'm sure but I have expectations other than just getting clean.  I also want to smell nice, feel better, relaxed, and walk away with an over all clean, relaxed, and energized.

I must admit as soon as I received the sample of body wash I was so excited and ran to get my shower.  It also didn't help that I was covered in 100 year old dust, and grease, but I was no doubt ready to relax and get a nice long   shower.  I received the Hello Hydration Herbal Essence Body wash and it was exactly that.  It was a very refreshing shower and I felt very hydrated when I was done.  The scent is no overwhelming but very light and pleasant and when I was out of the shower, the scent was very relaxing and soothing.

If you haven't tried the new line of body wash you must try them, they are awesome and comes in different fragrances to suit you and your family!

Great Heaters to stay Warm

Heaters To Stay Warm
When thinking about ways to keep warm in the winter without spending a great deal of money, consider electrical heaters. They come in various sizes, and they can be placed in any room of the home. These heaters are sometimes used in a garage in order to keep the area warm while someone is working on a car or if the garage is used as a family area.

If it is not cold enough to turn on a furnace, then an electrical heater can be used to keep the home comfortable. There are settings on the heaters to adjust the temperature. Some heaters look like small radiators. They have oil flowing through them that gets warm when the heater is on, and this will make the entire heater warm. Many heaters now have features that will turn the heater off if it gets too hot. There are also heaters that have covers that can help prevent hands from touching the hot part of the unit. An electric heater is safer than one that uses kerosene because there are no fumes, and you don’t have to worry about where to refill the heater as with one that uses kerosene. These take up very little space and radiate plenty of heat through a room or open space.
