About the book and Authors

 

     Tom and Sue created this book, they have been married for 31 years and raised 3 boys.  The book took 3 years to develop and design.  It took 18 months to develop software to generate a book.  Every page in every book is unique just like the children that makeup the book.  The child that the book is made for has their face hidden on each and every page. 

 

     This book can hold up to 120 different faces, which makes it great for school fundraisers, softball teams, or as an individual family.  The cost of the book is $29.99 plus $4.95 shipping and handling.  It does cost more for multiple faces.

 

My Thoughts

 

     Since I have received my book, my girls are infatuated with it.  They have had to take it to Grandma's and everywhere we go.  My daughters Hailey (8) and Riley (4) are just amazed every time that they look at the book.  It is just cool to open up the pages and see your smiling face in an actual book.  When I started looking at the book for the first time, I thought I would never find my child.  However by the end of the book I was able to spot them much easier. This is a great coffee table book and definitely a conversation peice.   

 

     The quality of the book is great.  It is spiraled and has a hardcover.  The pages are made up of great quality paper and the book is very colorful. 

    

     I highly reccommend this book... It is a great gift to give to grandparents, aunts, and special friends.  I have already gotten several people asking where did I get mine and how can they get theres?  Well, here goes for one lucky reader I will be giving one away, and for all others you can order your directly from bammco.

K5 Learning program Review (2)

    

     I have had the opportunity to use the K5 learning program for about 14 days under the Free 14 day trial, and I would love to share with you my thoughts on this program.

My Thoughts

     After using the program for 14 days, my daughter has thoroughly enjoyed it and learned at the same time.  Everyday it is can I take the test now, or When can I get back and do some of he math games?  Nothing makes your heart any happier than to know that your child is not only wanting to play a game but she wants to play a game that she is learning something from. Hailey is in the 3 grade, and suffers from ADHD and ODD.  Both of which prohibits her from learning what she needs to be learning 100% of the time.  K5 makes learning fun and the kids love it!

     Since we have started using this program, Hailey has wanted to start reading more books, and when she plays school she takes what she has learned from the K5 learning program and teaches to her baby sister (Riley, 4 years old) and imaginary students.  Because our 14 day free trial was over the holiday (Christmas) I am not sure how well it helped her in school, however I can tell you that I have been watching her and she has improved by at least 45%.

     If you have a child that is having problems with Math or Reading in school, I highly recommend this program.  You can give it a try for 14 days under the Free Trial.  I promise you will see a difference in your child's attitude toward school and learning.  This is also a great program if you home school.  It is fun and educational all at the same time.

     Once you sign up for the free trial, you will be able to do an online reading assessment and an online math assessment on your child.  This will give a few random tests to see at which level your child is and what they need the most work on.  Maybe your little suffers from Math but excels in Reading.  You can use this program to focus on what they the need the most.  This was one of the best options offered to me in this program.  You can also follow your child's progress in this program, kind of like a Report card, so you can see how well they are doing or what they are needing help in.

     No one wants to see their child struggle in school and with this program you help them understand the processes and have major accomplishments.

Wet Ones Sticky Situations

  

   Are you a parent of a Toddler?

If so then you have plenty of stories to share!  Wet Ones and Mom Central are hosting a contest, all you have to is share your story with your friends on Facebook and have them to vote!  I am sure you have a story to tell and how you handle not letting this happen now!

 

 

I just entered and shared the story oh how when my son was only about 2 r 3 years old and was playing so nice and quiet.  I checked on him numerous times and he was just playing so I went on about what I was doing and let him play.  My mother got up to go get her something to drink later and when she entered the kitchen she discovered why he was playing so nice and quiet.  He had gotten a hold of the chocolate syrup and nearly emptied the bottle on the floor.  He didn't stop there, that would be too easy.  He then began to play in it and he and the floor were covered in chocolate syrup.  After taking a picture of this mess me and my mother laughed until we cried cleaning it up.

 

Needless to say now I keep the chocolate syrup out of reach of children and I keep a t close check on them.  Especially if they get quiet for any amount of time.

Wedding Centerpieces. High Quality, Low Cost

     Everyone that you invite your wedding is going to be looking at the Bride and how beautiful she is in her gown, the Groom and just how handsome he is in his Tuxedo.  The Brides maids and Groomsmen have to look top shape and their clothes must fit just right also because they are center stage with the Bride and Groom and everyone will notice, just not as much as their are noticing the Bride and Groom.

Biometric Gun Safes

     With the current events of the CT school shooting it gets us all holding our children a little tighter and keeping watch over them a little longer.  It did for me anyway.  I did not want to let my girls out of my sight not even to put them bed.  I sat watching them sleep to make sure I kept them safe.

     I personally own Glock 40 and have  for about 9 years and I have never had to use it.  I originally purchased my gun because I was in B.L.E.T. (Basic Law Enforcement Training).  We could use the school issued 9 MM but of course I decided to get one for me and I would have it for protection of my family and use for my Law Enforcement career.

     The first thing they teach in any gun safety class is not how to use the gun, clean the gun, but to keep it out of the reach of unwanted hands.  I don't argue the fact that should be the first thing taught/  You really need to know how to handle the weapon before learning how to shoot it.



     Guns safes can be very expensive, heavy, and sometimes very difficult to get into in an emergency.  At gunsafesnow.com they have a Biometric safes that works off of fingerprints.  So you can program the safe to work with your fingerprints and your children can not access the safe.  This assures that the kids don't get the bright idea to play with daddy or in my case Mommy's gun.  There are so many children today that are killed by their parents gun, and completely accidental in most cases.   A child is curious and if they know where the weapons are they won't to look at them.  Unfortunately it usually ends in the death of a sibling.  And then there is the child that has rebelled against their parents and kills them.
